Greetings!
This is something strawberry, a spoon of sorbet, a soufflé with syrup.
Light is hard.
These are some images from the last ten days or so, for your amusement. That’s all. Difficult ideas, scary yet sweet Bukowskian tales, dark thoughts, and a beautiful gift (that I photographed but I don’t want to spoil the surprise) all intentionally omitted. No argument here. Nothing intelligent, little insight. Just notes on late spring.
As always, best viewed on a computer (instead of your phone) and through the Substack app (as opposed to an email). Intermittent Signal
I love sunlight through leaves anytime, but especially this time of year, when everything is new and freshly washed.
I love photographing moose. This one grazed off the deck, and then rested for a couple of hours in the shade of the house. I don’t have the dogs with me.
The aspens burst out of their buds today. They were closed just this morning. For several years now the aspens have begun leafing out on this date, give or take a day.
Have a great Memorial Day Weekend! I hope your summer beckons.

P.S. To my paying subscribers, a thousand thanks. It really means a lot. Though I’d write anyway. But that’s my problem. Thank you.
And, as always, please share!
Wonderful images, David! So you were heading west... Have a wonderful weekend!
